Bookings

Decline booking seats

Decline selected seats on a booking whose event type requires confirmation and has seats. The authorization header refers to a host who can update the booking.

declinedSeatUids lists seats that were waiting or confirmed and are now declined. Seats that were already declined stay declined and are omitted. A confirmed seat can be declined. An optional reason is stored on each declined seat and included in its decline email and booking-rejected workflow.

POST /v2/bookings/:bookingUid/decline refuses these bookings. Pass each seat’s seatUid here instead.

Available with cal-api-version 2024-08-13, 2026-02-25, and 2026-05-01.

If accessed using an OAuth access token, the BOOKING_WRITE scope is required.
